West St. Paul/Mendota Heights
Rotary Club
What We Do
The Club strongly
encourages individuals, groups and organizations that rely on charitable
donations to submit a donation request to the Board. The request should be
directed to Club President David Olson.
In order for the Board to adequately learn about the cause for which funds are
requested, it is preferred that donation requests be submitted in writing, with
an explanation of the reason for the request and a description of the work of
the requesting party. The donation request should fit the Rotary “4-Way Test”
and fit into one of our avenues of service – Club, Community, International
and/or Vocational. If the request is for an amount under $1,000, it need
not be in writing, but instead can be made in person at one of our monthly Board
meetings. A donation request for an amount of $1,000 or more must be in
writing, as described above, and a member of the organization or an involved
Club member should be present at the Board meeting during which the request is
considered. Requests should be submitted at least fourteen days before the
next scheduled Board Meeting (see dates below). If circumstances require
that the submission be made past the fourteen day deadline, please make every
effort to get the request to us as soon as possible and explain the
circumstances. The Board will act promptly on all requests. The
Board is free to approve, reject, table or modify all requests.
